Bring Your Pool Back to Life

Is your pool suffering from unsightly stains, discoloration, or rough calcium scale? In the past, the only solution was a traditional acid wash—a harsh process that required draining your pool, risking structural damage to the plaster, and wasting precious water. The "No Drain" Difference United Chemical No Dran Acid Wash is a revolutionary treatment that transforms your pool water into a gentle yet powerful cleaning agent. By lowering the pH and alkalinity of the water under controlled conditions, No Dran Acid Wash loosens and lifts stubborn contaminants from the surface, allowing them to be brushed away easily. Because the water remains in the pool, the acid mixture is evenly distributed across every inch of the surface. This eliminates the risk of "hot spots" or uneven etching that frequently ruins pool finishes during manual acid washes. Why Choose No Dran Acid Wash?
  • Protect Your Investment: Draining a pool exposes the plaster to air, which can cause cracking and delamination. Keeping the water in the pool protects the structural integrity of your finish.
  • Save Money & Resources: No refill costs. No expensive contractor labor. No wasted water.
  • Total Surface Care: Whether you have a standard plaster pool, a sensitive vinyl liner, or a high-end pebble finish, No Dran Acid Wash is formulated to clean without damage.
How It Works The process is straightforward. You simply add the No Dran Acid Wash product along with muriatic acid (purchased separately) to lower your water's pH and alkalinity to specific levels. Over the course of a few days, you brush the pool to help the solution lift stains. Once the stains are gone, you rebalance your water, and your pool is ready for swimming—sparkling clean and stain-free. These days I am very skeptical about most products that have grand claims, but No Dran Acid Wash is truly unbelievable. The start up of reducing the PH and adding the other chemicals is a little time consuming, but well worth the effort. My plaster in-ground pool was stained from day one when we had a mud runoff during our home contraction. Not bad at first but worsened of the past 5 years. I thought the only solution would be to resurface the plaster. But thank the gods that I found this product and procedure. In 2 days, Virtually all stains were removed and the plaster looks close to installation-it's bright white again. So please with this product and outcome. A must buy if you have staining trouble and want your plaster white again.

How much will I need for 30,000 gallon swimming pool with black stains on the floor of the Pool?

You need 2 pounds per 5,000 gallons. So for 30,000 gallons that is a total of 12 pounds, or one 8 pound bucket and two bottles. Depending on severity of the stain you can add more - it's safe for the pool surface. Black could be either copper, manganese or silver - silver being the most difficult to remove.
